In the past 6 months we’ve made our international debut at @usnexpo @oslofusion and @sphinxcinema ! Even appearing in a specific queer cowboy showcase. Catch us ‘yeehawing’ as our short trots around the globe.

So grateful to have 20(!!) esteemed friends and colleagues gather together for an inspiring and hilarious table read for my upcoming feature ROE V. MAEVE. The energy was eclectic and I can’t wait to bring this story to life. Incredibly proud and honored to premiere my queer cowboy short film, HOT SHEET MOTEL, at Newfest this year! I couldn’t have made this without the love and support from so many people, especially those who helped me erect this into existence on two hot summer nights in Texas. Come out to our screening on 10/19 to see something truly special. Also I might cry a little. — Hot Sheet Motel is an homage to older southern generations of the LGBTQ+ community who were forced to stay closeted for fear of persecution. It’s a ‘will-they-wont-they’ slow burn of a tale that emphasizes the coded language queer people must use to survive. Merle and Ed are the kinds of star crossed lovers you encounter everyday but don’t notice. The temp coworker that walks into your local laundromat. The man from out of town that becomes your new regular. The tempting break in routine that could change your life if you let them. ROE V. MAEVE is featured on The Blacklist for Women’s History Month! // It’s been a while since Texas first passed the heartbeat bill; limiting abortion at 6 weeks and driving me to new levels of feminist rage. I thought to myself, does Greg Abbott even know what an abortion looks like? Then wrote this pilot in a month. Repro rights and access has changed drastically since then. But as I currently finish the feature adaption of this script, I’m reminded how much representation matters. Women’s health will always include abortion, and thank you to The Blacklist @theblcklst for giving this topic a platform 🫶🏻🫶🏻🤠🖤

Incredibly excited to claim myself as a fellow for the 2023 Orchard Project Episodic Lab with my pilot; ROE V. MAEVE. So much has escalated and devolved since Roe V. Wade fell last summer, but with this script, I hope to bring more awareness to the inner workings of abortion clinics and de-stigmatize reproductive healthcare in general. I’m honored and grateful to be included with such a talented pool of writers.
